I came across yoga 17 years ago and have been practicing since then. I first hear about it while taking a Buddhist Architecture class at the California College of the Arts. I was deeply attracted to the spiritual aspect of it; I had been wanting to meditate for a while, thus I saw yoga as a way to slow down my mind and be present. As time went by, I began to experience the benefits of a steady practice. Yoga was helping me alleviate the side effects of stress at work and hours of sitting in front of the computer while beautifully complementing my biking and dancing activities.
Movement has been an integral part of my life. As a child and then a teenager in Argentina, I danced flamenco, did gymnastics, ran track, and was exposed to a bunch of other physical activities. Once in California, I felt in love with snowboarding, biking, dancing, and of course, yoga. My motto has always been "Mens sana in corpore sano"—a sound mind in a sound body. I am passionate about health and believe in a holistic approach to it. I am fascinated by the different aspects of the human body— physical, mental, emotional, spiritual—and continue to educate myself on anatomy, yoga, meditation and natural healing approaches.
I draw inspiration from my personal Ashtanga practice and others styles of yoga I have been exposed over the years. I truly enjoy guiding students through their yoga practice while being part of their healing journey. My intention as a teacher is to create a welcoming and safe environment for all level students to experience yoga.
